Was going through a friends old dubbed VHS tapes the other day and stumbled across this episode of MTV’s The Blame Game with Chad Fernandez. I’d never even heard of this show and at first was thoroughly confused as to what I was even watching but after a few minutes couldn’t look away. It was like a car crash as Chad talked about using bearing grease for lubricant and sang a karaoke version of No Pigeons by Sporty Thievz.

I’m not sure how I’d missed this one for so many years, especially at a point when skateboarders on MTV wasn’t commonplace. It’s crazy how things have changed in that respect. I still remember the first skater I saw on MTV, it was Jonas Wray on MTV’s Singled Out. He didn’t win but I think he did make it to the final round and got a lot closer to Jenny McCarthy than I ever will.
