After months of soul-crushing labor, we are ready to present the Skately Library. The Library is a huge directory of skateboard brands, people, and videos, meticulously organized by two old skate nerds. We wanted to give props to anyone that has logged footage over the years, or made any kind of contribution to skateboarding. A sizable portion of skate history has been lost to time, so we wanted to make sure that kids today were aware that <favorite pro> skated for <kooky company> in 1998.

Along the way, we realized we could do some fancy stuff with our data. You’ll find solid page recommendations with similar brands, people, and videos, although some might be completely irrelevant. We still have some fine tuning to do, so bear with us. If you see anything odd or have any suggestions for improving the site, don’t hesitate to drop us a line.

You also might notice that we run an online skate shop. We’re two skaters that have put everything on the line to make a living at skateboarding, so we’re trying to make the best site possible. We understand the “local shop or die” sentiment, but at least there is some cool shit to look at, right? I can assure you our office is not raining Mountain Dew bucks, and any support would be greatly appreciated.
