American Dream, Inc.
American Dream, Inc. was a brand founded by Ron Allen and Alyasha Moore which set out to prove that anyone, including minorities could achieve the American dream through skateboarding. Also known as AD Unit, ADI tried teaching Americana history to every race through use of Black Panther/black empowerment imagery, and even went as far as running ads in Korean and Spanish. But once Deluxe pulled it's backing, Alyasha moved the brand to Brethren Distribution, the makers of Drawls & Stepson Clothing, at which point Alyasha ceased to offer any guidance or feedback on the brand. Alfred Hawkins then took over managing ADI for another year or so, but ultimately called it quits due to lack of sales.
