Big Brother Magazine
Steve Rocco founded Big Brother in 1992 after Transworld refused to run one of his ads. With little emphasis on skateboarding, Big Brother became another one of Rocco's vehicles to push buttons and boundaries with. Mark McKee also invested in Big Brother and assumed it's role of Editor. In 1997, Big Brother was purchased by Larry Flynt Publishing, Inc., the publishers of Hustler Magazine who were looking for new magazines. In 2000, LFP, Inc. accidentally mixed the subscriber lists for the June issue of Big Brother with Taboo, a hardcore porn magazine. An apology letter was sent once the mistake was realized, but imagine that didn't go far with angry skateboard parents who's mailboxes received Taboo.
